Entry code issues led to a frustrating situation at 2am!!! The cramped space didn't accommodate luggage well. Noise from neighboring rooms was distracting, reducing the overall comfort of the stay!!!

Amazing location of the hotel right next to the sidewalk. Based right by a former cinema with lots of film related flourishes, the bars in central Akureyri and the city center.

The stylish decor was a highlight 😉 The room wasvery comfy and tidy with complimentary snacks. It was a bit tight for our luggage. A great stay!

The room with a very comfortable bed. The location was stunning close to the city center, right at Eymundsson Book Store.

The staff are amazingly nice and the room was compact with a very comfortable bed. There is a refrigerator, a kettle, and an individual safe - that's always a plus. The location is great and stunning and they have parking on site;))

The breakfast had a good variety and quality.

The room was painfully small, leaving no space to move around or store our luggage. We had to awkwardly shuffle things just to open the door, beyond frustrating.

Check-in was seamless and the warmth of the front desk clerk put us at ease. Breakfast was delicious, while our room offered really good comfort with blackout curtains for a good night's rest.

Absolutely loved the stylish decor, but the walls were thinner than a potato chip, and I heard everything my neighbors whispered. I also expected a room upgrade for my troubles, yet here I am in this small double room with no complimentary gestures. I almost considered a good review, but just couldn't.

Had a blast with friends! We loved visiting the iconic filming locations from Game of Thrones and enjoyed some skiing nearby. The location is perfect for grabbing meals, and the staff were really helpful. The breakfast at the sister hotel was awesome too!

The hotel is really close to the beautiful akureyri botanical garden. You can find some fun cafes just a few steps away for a quick bite or coffee to recharge during your adventures.

Staying at dynheimar was a unique experience! The main lounge area had a lovely vibe, reminiscent of a classic cinema. We enjoyed a great breakfast, especially since goðafoss waterfall is nearby, perfect for sightseeing. The atmosphere really added to the charm.

It was just a fine choice for a getaway in Akureyri with all in all great value for money. Breakfast was great, especially the fresh fish, a nice surprise. Make sure to check the menu options before you arrive.
